It’s been a minute since we’ve written a piece here on everymanoneverycrew.com and it’s time to get everyone up to speed as quickly as possible before the “Summer Stretch” goes full swing after this past weekend’s Coca-Cola 600.

Bristol Weekend, April 11-13, 2025

The NASCAR Cup Series has run four points races and the All Star Race since our last publication. Bristol Motor Speedway’s race weekend took place April 11-13, where Chandler Smith won a thrilling NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on Friday night, while Kyle Larson dominated the NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, as well as the Cup Series’ Food City 500 on Sunday, en-route to his second win of the season. Exiting Bristol, Corey Heim held a +18 lead over Chandler Smith in the Truck Series, Justin Allgaier held a +83 lead over Sam Mayer in the Xfinity Series and William Byron held a +30 lead over Denny Hamlin.

Rockingham Weekend, April 18-19

The Cup Series had an off weekend, as the Truck and Xfinity Series headed to Rockingham Speedway for the first time in years. After the track was repaved in 2023, the NXS contested at the North Carolina race track for the first time since 2004, while the NCTS had their first race since 2013.

The weekend did not disappoint, as series veteran, Tyler Ankrum, won his first race in the series since 2019 at Kentucky Speedway, holding off Jake Garcia and Grant Enfinger Friday evening. Saturday evening had everything, from a longtime NCS veteran making a triumphant return to stock car racing, on track battles throughout the field, calamity towards the end of the race and a surprising disqualification from the initial winner. Kasey Kahne, who ran his first national series race since 2018, came home 14th, after being caught up in an early accident, while his RCR teammate, Jesse Love, initially won the race before being disqualified, handing the win to JRM’s Sammy Smith. Leaving Rockingham, Corey Heim found himself +22 over Chandler Smith in the points, while Justin Allgaier extended his lead to +87 over Sam Mayer.

Talladega Weekend, April 26-27, 2025

The NASCAR Cup Series returned to the track at Talladega Superspeedway on April 27th, as the ARCA Menards Series took to the track on April 26th for their annual stop, along with the NASCAR Xfinity Series afterwards for a Saturday Doubleheader. The General Tire 200 was a classic ARCA race, with Lawless Alan scoring the victory after surging ahead of Thad Moffitt during an overtime attempt.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series’ AG Pro 300 went Green in both Stage 1 and 2, having a few major accidents towards the end of the race, including Connor Zilisch slamming the Backstretch SAFER barrier at full speed, prompting NASCAR to immediately throw the yellow. This finish left runner-up, Jeb Burton emotionally after claiming he was in front of declared race winner, Austin Hill, at the time of caution. Burton has a chip on his shoulder and looks to seek revenge on the 2.66-mile Alabama racetrack when they come back for the Fall race.

Sunday’s Jack’s Link”s 500 saw Austin Cindric win his third-career NCS race, holding off a hard-charging Ryan Preece on the outside lane. Drivers were unable to make moves from second on back, prompting fans to debate on social media about the issues with NASCAR’s current Drafting Track Package. In the midst of all of this, Preece and Joey Logano received penalties, disqualifying them to 38th and 39th-place finishes, respectively.

Coming out of Talladega, Justin Allgaier found himself +79 to Austin Hill in the NXS points, while on the Cup side, William Byron had a comfortable +31 points over Kyle Larson, for that time being. The next track for the NCTS, NXS and NCS would be Texas Motor Speedway, April 2-4. Stay tuned for our May highlights, as the racing world had a memorable month before ending it at the Charlotte Motor Speedway the night before Memorial Day.
